HA5 Task5 - Evaluation

The Evaluation of my work would be that;
My Strengths of concept art;
Idea Generation
Design ideas

My Idea generation was large so in the end i had to cut it down too 3 scenes that i liked and that i wanted to use for my final piece, i used different styles to see which one would fit my favourite idea number 2, which is the city over look while Mitch is sat in the wheel chair.

My design ideas was very simple to either be to see the city,hospital,wards,cause of disease, disaster.
The ideas came together to in idea 2 to show the Hospital in the background and disaster with an empty city and only one man alive.

My Weakness:
My only weakness is that i struggle with time management, i sometimes leave things to late or do them too early so that i lose them or lose track of them when i have done, which has happened to some of my idea generations.

Solution;
Soon as i have completed a piece of work to take a picture and save it to Blogger or a folder where all my work is and to keep a back up of this.

HA5 Task3 - Final Illustration Presentation

This image is my final product, and the style i had used is a black pen, i used the black pen because i thought it would add a sense of old and back when things was only black and white so the black pen was a good idea to symbolise this.

This is a coloured image of my character Mitchell Deforest, he has the look of an investigator with all the attended things needed which would be the Five o' clock shadow beard with also a medium bulid which is shown by his stance.

HA5 Task2 - Development Studies

This image shows the development and what kind of scenes and assets i was putting in my concept art for Unit 69, the final one that i had picked was the top left one, and the assets that i used in the end was the Gun,Cigar,and lighter (clippo) the writing at the bottom was a little extra planning when it came to my final piece.

HA5 Task1 - Reference Research

HA4 Task1 - The Purpose of Concept Art

Task 1 - The Purpose of Concept Art

Evaluate the purpose and use of concept art within the games development process, outlining the three stages of:

Exploration-
Exploration in general means to investigate,study,search.
With this being in concept art this can be applied  to having a look into the scenario to find certain ideas to fit the briefs, with this the research is implemented.
With the Exploration its to create quick ideas to find one that you as an artist likes to use and that you think will look good in a game.

Approval-
Approval in genral means to accept and give someone the power to do something.
In the game inustrty the approval means that the idea is been choosen to use and that you have to elberate on the work and use this to put in the game, and once you have added more detail to your approved peice you will move onto the promotional art.

Promotion-
Promotion in general is when a brand uses art,adverts,posters to get a product across.
In the game industry promotional art work is when you work is finally at its final stage and that the image/drawing will be fully detailed with colour extra assets to show off more things and to put the asset you have created in to a habitat and where you would find it in the game that you are working on.
Ensure that the examples you use cover the three types of concept art:

Environment art
